First of all, thanks for your feedback.

Yes, I have taken traditional art classes. I took Drawing I, Drawing II, and Advanced Art Portfolio. I did not get involved with the arts until my Junior year, when I was accidentally placed in a drawing class. However, I made the best out of the situation and soon fell in love with visual arts. In my essays and opening statement, I address this situation. I had 15 pieces in total, but those 6 were my most creative and the ones I am most proud of. I also submitted a few photography pieces, high quality and detailed sketches, and other assorted pieces. I know that the portfolio is often times the most important part of an architectural application and I am quite nervous about how the admissions office will feel about my pieces!

Also, Pratt informed me that architecture majors with a GPA above 3.7 need not submit an art portfolio. Therefore, I am wondering how strictly they will judge my work. I figured that it couldn’t hurt to send it, despite my 4.0 GPA. Any ideas on this?
