Hey!!! Lol, ive actually never heard that one before.

Congrads soccer1458!!! I currently am waiting on paper work for the AIR force academy. I just got all my medical paperwork gathered today and am overnighitng it to them tomorrow morning.

I know once i received the ‘Medically disquallified’ notice that it opened a whole nother can of worms that i had to deal with (and still am). But its good to see that they still process waivers.

I found the people at DoDMERB to be the nicest, helpful, caring people ive worked with in the admissions process so far! They really want to help you get your waiver and will tell you as much as they can! I had a sgt over that track down my process, spent hours calling people FOR me, kept calling me back (several times a day at one point) keeping me updated, eventually pointing to me to the Tech Sgt who MAKES the dicision!

Mr. G. You’re welcome.
Having been the victim of mindless, meaningless corrections [See: “4,000 teenagers at the USNA” comment], I am constantly amused at how people love to point out the little defects that show up in posts from time to time. Especially [and I wish I knew how to underline] when they are presumptuous about their authority [See: “we don’t say Oorah” from one that isn’t even at an academy much less in the Army] and havn’t done any research on the matter in any event. [Assuming there is only one spelling of Oorah, Hooah, Hoo-ya, Ura, or whatever.]

That’s okay. Hopefully, the youngsters posting on this site will take the chastisment they receive here and learn from it. [“Hope springs eternal”–Alexander Pope in An Essay on Man] Much better than being [as I repeatedly tell my young daughter] smarty-pants at an academy and having to suffer the ignominy of being identified as such by upper class. [See: Those that insist on learning their rates before Plebe Summer and then demonstrating their readiness accordingly.]

Always ready to enterain and educate. Remember, never let a few facts get in the way of a good argument.

I’m sure you’ll be fine snipper, but I know the sense of worry. I was sick A LOT as a kid (no more than what’s considered healthy at least) and all I have left is a spirometry study on my lungs. I run 1.5 miles in the morning now, I’m pretty sure I’ll pass. But I understand, they already have my ENTIRE medical history + more. It will be worth it in the end.

I have to make you aware of my discovery today so you can be in the know. Hershey’s now has a peanut-butter chocolate kiss and a chocolate covered cherry kiss. Oorah! Life is AWESOME. The only thing that could be better is hearing that you all have gotten appointments. Will await the news and entertain myself with these new fabulous little delights. Why they don’t make them without these nasty little time consuming wrappers is beyond me.

I hate it when the wrapper isnt even on all the way, so you can see a little bit of the chocolate without even opening it, and you wonder where the thing has been.
