xosammi,

Here is the link for the 6 year graduation rate at SDSU. This was from 2006 and is a new “high” for graduation within 6 years of beginning at the campus.

This is not to say that you cannot do it in four years. But with budget cutbacks in the CSU system, it may be harder to get classes in time to graduate. There may be less availability of those pre-requisites that you need.

Perhaps you can talk with some senior at this school and find out how many of them are on track to graduate? Some majors may require more time. Studying abroad may also put you off track, if that is a consideration.

I have a colleague that works part time and going to CSU Dominguez Hills, full time. She is currently on her 6th year. While this is not common, it isn’t all that uncommon, either, unfortunately.

I know many in the UC system that complain when it comes time to register for classes, they are all “filled”.

Your mileage may vary. SDSU may be the best fit for you, academically, socially, financially. Or it may be a wash, when you consider AP credits, intersession classes, SAT/SAT II scores waiving classes. Try to compare them side by side with what courses do get waived, if you have any. Those may help you graduate in even less time - at both campuses.
