I had a typo on my common app. Can I call up my school and ask them if there is anything I can do?

I’m sure they’re more concerned about the context of your application rather than one mistake. If the rest of your application has good grammar they’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you can write… everyone makes mistakes.
