I used to shop there ( husband is Swedish ) the furniture has to be seen as disposable. The stench of their cinnamon buns makes me nauseous . Some of their kitchen items are ok…nothing great by any means . I think it is ok for setting up young adults in their first apartments. My husband likes to get food there because it reminds him of the mother land
Hate going to IKEA but need the crap? Here is an app for that!!!

We went to IKEA in Renton last weekend in the hopes of picking up a bookcase and some minor crap for kiddo. Saw that the parking was a MILE away (!) with a free shuttle offered. We drove to Kirkland and picked out a few pieces at Dania instead. No shuttles, just loaded the made in Italy, already assembled nightstands into the car. Saved us a few hours of our precious time.
As bad as IKEA is, does it even approach going to the Apple store or the Sprint store? Those are the inner circles of Hell to me.
I like IKEA. There is one only a few miles from my house and I have lots of furniture from there.
For longevity, I’ve had many of the pieces since high school so I’d say I definitely got my money’s worth
We used to like our IKEA until they rebuilt the store and made everyone park a mile away and take the shuttle (see my rant post above). That killed our joy. We still like the stuff from there we got years ago - we were very selective in choosing it.
BB, the website says something about parking being affected as they remove the old building and until construction is done. There IS parking right opposite the front of the new store-DD just parked there early last week. But it’s not plentiful. I’ll bet if you go midweek you can park within a few feet of the entrance like we did. DD had a blast getting ideas for the apartment she hopes to have before she’s done with college.
The issue is… I work midweek.
So no, not until they fix the mess. Dania had surprisingly reasonable prices, though.
BB, ouch- ok that would be annoying.
