I have no idea if I'm gonna get in but to me it sounds like a 50/50 and I would like advice or others' input :) [MO resident, 3.44 GPA, 26 ACT, nursing]

It looks like Truman State does have direct admissions to Nursing though the program is more selective than the college as a whole (as is common) and requires an extra application.

They also have an Honors Program.

You might be competitive for the Truman Award (full tuition, some extra for room&board)

You’d definitely qualify for a $3,000 automatic scholarship.

They also have an Army Nurse program and ROTC scholarships.

The Army IS NOT a scholarship program. You really have to want to serve - it’s an 8-year commitment as an Army nurse and before that physical training every week while in college plus various other obligations (leadership course, etc).

SLU has direct entry nursing.

SIU has direct entry but like Truman State it’s a two step admission process: first get into SIU, second you have to get into Nursing - and this is done by taking a test.

SIU Carbondale doesn’t charge OOS tuition and its costs are comparable to Truman State’s. Its scholarship offers seem less robust than Truman State’s though.

St Kate’s should be 29k if it’s 63k-34k so as of now that’s the number to beat.
