i heard there are decisions this friday?

Man I REALLY hope that there’s a wave today. A nursing wave would be nice… Actually, I haven’t seen nursing admittance here on CC for this year o_o

From the Michigan admissions website:
All final admissions decisions for 2012 will be released by early April. This includes students who have previously been deferred; final decisions will include admit, deny, or waitlist. All decisions will be posted online; please continue to check your status online via Wolverine Access. Waitlisted students have until May 15 to accept their spot on the waitlist.

Here is the link to the website:

Just posted this on another thread… but i’ll repost it here too!

If it helps, I called admissions yesterday asking about when the last acceptances will come out. I was already accepted (March 15th), but my twin was deferred at the same time as I was in February. So my parents didn’t want to plan to visit Michigan until we knew for sure what my brother’s status was. The admissions office told me that it is very unlikely for any more people to get an acceptance and that I should book a flight asap. I am assuming that if you have not yet heard, you are either waitlisted/rejected. The last Campus Day is April 16th, which would make it very hard for anyone to actually visit if they are accepted on April 15th.

Sorry if this is an upsetting email, but I’d recommend for anyone who doesn’t have Michigan as a top choice to move on. It’s better than waiting for something that will probably end up in disappointment. And if it doesn’t, it’ll feel much more gratifying.

^ Sorry to hear about your twin. I’m a little disappointed/shocked by this news, but it was nice to get things solidified so I could move on. I just got accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill, so I will probably be attending … If I don’t enjoy it, I could always transfer.

I don’t understand, if it’s highly unlikely that there will be more acceptances, then why don’t they just put everyone out of their misery and send the waitlist/rejections now. It’s so frustrating to apply in October and still be waiting in March. I realize they have a ton of applications but other schools are sending theirs out. Sorry to whine but I just can’t stand the wait!! :)

dont believe this. people were accepted until the deadline last year, it will be the same this year.

they told me the same thing  but who knows

I called and they said that there are still more acceptances to go around.

It doesn’t make sense to have a last wave if no one is to get accepted. Is the probability of getting accepted harder? Of course, considering that IT IS the final wave but, the probability of getting in is certainly not 0.

Hang in there guys, I feel your pain…hopefully, this journey will end with us going where we want to go.

Keep good attitude… I am an int’l student at Purdue. turned in application on17th Jan. Haven’t heard a thing yet. Engineering.
