Congrats RJSmith. Floridians Rock. LOL

(esp. those in SoFla! Party hard to celebrate!)

Aww thanks, sybbie. I hope so much that youâre right.

lol same⊠same⊠Iâm really thinking Iâm NOT going to be a getting a likely letter AT ALL⊠and its already March 12 lol⊠but i guess i donât mind waiting until April 1 eitherâŠ

I think a set of likelies were mailed out yesterday so donât give up yet.

wow i just realized that my last post was in response to calidanâs post from WAY before (âI hope to see my name in that lovely green font tooâŠâ)⊠for some reason thereâs like a 1 hour delay⊠LOL weird⊠anyways⊠thanks sybbie, that definitely gives me some hopeâŠblu and other New Jerseyans, hang in there! Stay strong lol

And for some much needed comic reliefâŠ

Today, after eating lunch, my dad came home.

Me: Dad, did you get the mail?
Dad: Yeah, a little while ago.
Me: Anything for me?
Dad: Nope
Me: Are you sure?
Dad: Nothing
Me: You sure?

LoL gotta love how i kept saying âare you sure?â⊠its funny how Iâm expecting to hear back from all these schools in mid to end of March, yet they all state April 1 or âearly Aprilâ as when their decisions are sent out⊠crazy

he is my conversation with my mom

me: are thing from the mailbox?
mom: no, donât worry, you are already accepted to a canadian school, they are cheaper too
me: mom, donât you get it? i want to go to dartmouth, but thanx for trying to make me feel better
mom: hey, even if you get in, we might not be able to pay :S
me: iâll work, i will do watever i have to do to pay
mom: watever you say, but what if you donât get in
me: noooooooooooooooooo (as i fall on my knees, hands held above my head in an attempt to get some good fortune from gods)
mom: who knows, maybe your stats are not good enough for likely
me: (accepting the fact) yeah, that must be it ![]()
i did this for the past 3 weeks

JadeRain05, where are you from? Plantationâsound familiar? Nova High School ring a bell?

Newbyreborn- wow, your mom is like a stabbing your hopes with a dagger, I donât know how you could take it! But itâs funny though, because my mom tells me everyday after she checks the mail (and there is nothing for me =( ) that donât worry, youâll get in, youâll get in. And then I get mad at her for giving me false hopesâŠso I donât know which is worse, false hopes or none at all.

RJSmith- Ya, I have heard of plantation. Broward right? I have never heard of Nova High School though, I am from Miami though.

Newby, Iâm from canada myselfâŠtell her itâs for god, queen and countryâif sheâs english. If sheâs french, tell her you donât want a Jesuit education and besides New Hamshire, at one time had a real important french presence and youâll revive it through the force of personality.

Good luck, let me know how that works out. lol

nah, i exaggerated, she is pretty supportive of me, but i am very worried still

I think I got one today. Itâs from the Director of Minority Recruitment. It says that âwe contact students whose applications look especially promising in advance of the April mailing date in order to help alleviate some of the stresses of waiting. By now, your daughter should have received such a letter from Karl Furstenberg, the Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.â

I havenât received the letter from the Dean yet but my letter definitely looks like a good sign. It says âwe hope you are pleased to know that your daughterâs interest in Dartmouth is being fully reciprocated by us.â

yay :DDDDDDD

iâm from cali.

wait⊠who knows Nova High? Iâm from New Jersey, but I know some1 from Nova in Broward County⊠PM me! lol

Welcome to CC and the Dartmouth board.

Yes, Fezeatspez

Daughter is getting a likely letter. You got the copy that goes to the parent. Itâs funny that even though we recieved both of our letters on the same day my letter was dated March 10, and hers was March dated the 11th. She will also get an invitation to dimensions.

So should she decide to come, from the parent of an 08 to the parent of an 09 Welcome and

*Congratulations *.

You can start doing the happy dance any time now :)

Got home around 10pm from All-State Auditions, and my parents say something to the effect of, âMeagan, you need to come, NOW, and open something that came in the mail today.â I immediately start freaking out. And who is it from? DARTMOUTH!!! I try not to get too excited before I reach the table to tear the envelope to shreads (after all, it could be a letter notifying me that they are missing something in my application or something
), but Iâm having a hard time controling myself. Luckily, the thin envelope contains the wonderful words of likely-letter-ness. My voice is now just about gone from ridiculous outbursts of joy.

lol CONGRATULATIONS⊠that must feel so awesome - where are you from? (lol us New Jerseyans are getting desperate)

* Congratulations, Meagan!!*

Hey you asked the admission gods to smile on you and you did. I guess this means youâre leaving Az :D

Meagan, CONGRATULATIONS, that is incredible! go out and celebrate!

what All-State is this for, choir? how can you audition as a senior?

Thanks for all the advice and the information about Green Key, Sybbie. Youâre a wealth of information, as usual.

One question:

Iâm a bit confused by this sentence. Basically, is Shortyâs Dimensions subsidized since his likely letter mentioned it (unlike my letter), and mine will not be? Is it the other way around? Or (this seems unlikely, lol) are both of us subsidized?

Thanks.

Oh, and, congratulations, Meagan and Fezeatspez!
