I just realized...

Whaaat? NO!

We don’t take first class that seriously.
What it can be used for is:
Conferences set up for different classes to find homework and discuss it.
Ability to make your own conferences where you and your friends can post.
Instant Messaging for quick questions among students.
Uploading and organizing documents as well as making new documents.

really we dont get _.edu email addresses? :frowning: are you sure cuz students have _.edu email addresses

and man I hope I’m not coming on firstclass obsessively :x

It probably depends on the school, but I actually think that most students get .edu email adressess but I’m probably wrong.

you do but you just use blackboard instead of first class

oh and i know my school is like the extreme.
we should all be checked into first class anonymous (I think we have a facebook group about that)
we use it for all that stuff too but we have become so dependent on it.
teachers actually give people extensions to students who don’t get their work done if first class was down that night. Everything is on first class so we need it to survive.

oooooooohhhhhhh bummer. I was looking forward to first class too. I use blackboard at my current school and its not so fun like first class :(

Pretty much at every school its some form of your name @ (insert site here). What other e-mail would they give you…? If your going to hotchkiss then it won’t be .edu, because their site ends in .org.

O at sps we only use blackboard for assignments, and we use webmail for email.
