I keep hearing about amazing offers from Suffolk but

I found this on Suffolk’s website:
Please note: Suffolk University policy does not allow for grant and scholarship funding from any and all sources to exceed the cost of tuition. Suffolk University reserves the right to revoke or revise a financial aid award at any time. We also reserve the right to revise or terminate any university-funded program, discount, etc. at any time.

I take this to mean that financial aid will not be awarded in excess of the cost of tuition (so not to cover room, board, etc), and outside scholarships that, in combination with federal & institutional grants/scholarships, exceed tuition would result in institutional aid being reduced.

$22,000 is the maximum scholarship, per their website. Tuition for 2024-25 is $47,000. Edit per the post below …

So I would say that the answer to your question is you can ask. But since it says that the maximum scholarship is $22,000, it would need to be a grant. If their grants are limited to need based, you’d have to show need. But some schools have grants that aren’t limited to need
