If you find CC “blunt and rude” SDN will make your head explode. As a very occasional poster but regular reader of this board I find the pre-med section of CC pretty remarkable for the quality of its advice, especially considering it is such a small group. If you find the discussion here a problem I wish you well when you get to medical school, let alone residency. You will need to go to work with your head screwed on straight every single day because there is a job that needs to be done and learning that needs to take place. Taking a resident’s fragility into account is not on the team’s radar. (Speaking as the parent of a ob/gyn resident and yep, I was borderline rude.)
