I-phone owners

I have a MobileMe account (hosts a couple of my websites for my job) and yesterday saw the new application ebeeee mentioned, which will track down your iPhone online. You just click a button on the website, and it locates your phone on a google map. You can then have your phone emit a sound for 2 minutes, even if it’s turned off. If someone has stolen your phone, you can click the “wipe” button and wipe out all data (such as text messages, emails, phone numbers, aps, etc…); it returns the phone to factory settings, but I don’t think it permanently disables it. Now if only there was a “self-destruct” button. I would love to use that one on the phones that have been stolen from my family members (i.e. my kids). Makes me mad that D’s 6-month old Blackberry is likely be used just fine by someone who paid $50 for it!! I would love to send that Blackberry up in a little plume of smoke.

I’ve been an iphone used for about 2 years now. It’s like having a mini-computer in your hand. In my home Verizon is terrible. I had to go outside to use my cell phone. AT & T service is much better at my house. If you live in an area with 3G it’s even better. My H upgraded to the 3G phone and is amazed at the speed when we visit an area with 3G. (not available at all in our hometown).

As someone mentioned it’s very intuitive and easy to use.
