I probably shouldn't be saying this...

You don’t have to take AP exams if you don’t want to. Collegeboard can’t make you do stuff. But anyway, HMC doesn’t accept credit for many AP exams so save your money if you can. Here’s a breakdown by subject:

(1) Calc BC: Placement into Math 11M (accelerated calc) if you get a 4/5.

(2) Stats: Credit for Math 62 if you get a 5? (not sure if 4 is accepted)

(3) Physics C Mech: Placement into an accelerated section of Phys 24 (mechanics)

(4) Compsci: Placement, I think. not sure

Worthless as far as HMC credit goes: Calc AB, Chemistry, Physics B, Physics C E&M, Biology, and all other subjects. You have to take a placement test to get credit for those areas, so taking the AP test is a waste of money.
