And it wont be just vol in a hosp setting, it matters how you integrate. Nor some things CC kids come up with like vol in a senior home. Not shadowing. The effort matters.
The higher the college tier, Brown and NU, the tougher the vetting. Yes, B grades in stem- and a slightly low SAT- are a risk, as you not only want a stem major at these top colleges, but a coveted program with lower admit rates.
