I hope you can visit School A a few times, maybe do an overnight visit. Familiarity can help a lot in these situations. My only concern is that you may miss Freshman orientation and entering the college as a first year with others. Perhaps the school can provide you with contacts for other students entering in the 2nd term. Mental health is a priority. Good luck!
I’m sorry to hear about your struggle. It’s clear you’re torn between two choices and feeling overwhelmed. It’s okay to feel uncertain. Remember, your well-being matters most. If possible, consider seeking professional guidance. Trust your instincts and prioritize your mental health in making this decision.
hello! its been over a year but i thought it would be good to update this thread and say how things worked out. i ended up going to college B in the spring. it was definitely a rocky start to my college life and i struggled a bit mental health-wise, but it wasn’t terrible. i am now in my second semester and doing a lot better! i finally made new friends and im really content with my dorm situation. im really happy that i took the gap semester because it made me realize how much more content i am being closer to home. i definitely feel like i am thriving! thank you all for your support over a year ago, it really meant a lot to me (:
Thank you for the update. I’m so happy to read your good news.
Oh, your post made my day! It sounds like you made a series of wise decisions. I’m so glad you’ve settled in well!
