You don’t need to worry about that and please: don’t compare yourself to that silly and unrealistic TV-Shows! It just takes some time to find new friends, especially when you have a tight schedule… I am pretty sure, that you will find some new friends very soon 
Until then, try to involve someone from the gym in a conversation. Maybe there are some nice people, who feel as lonely as you do and need new friends either?
