<p>I told my mom that in case I have to stay after school any day from Mon through Wed, she needs to wait, and let me get the mail! I don’t think I could bear seeing an envelope lying on the kitchen table–I need answers, right then, right there (at the mailbox). The suspense would kill me. Plus, she might do one of those where she calls the cell-phone “just to let you know it’s here”.</p>
<p>Yeah, I banned my parents from the mailbox too. From now until I get the letter, they’re not even allowed to open it. Hehe I’m so crazy sometimes.</p>

<p>And I swear… if anyone makes one of those decision threads before they’re ACTUALLY in… I might have a brain anurism.</p>
<p>Today I went to get the mail, and I saw this thick business sized envelope with what looked like the Georgetown emblem on it, and freaked out. It turned out to be some other random college with a similar emblem, and it was dark out, but it scared the living hell out of me.</p>

<p>Yes! My friend got into Columbia today! I tried to be really excited but I couldn’t when I didn’t know the status of my own application!</p>
<p>You guys have probably all had this discussion somewhere at length, but Georgetown acceptance letters are freakishly thin, so don’t be discouraged if you see a small thin envelope in your mailbox.</p>

<p>Seeing the absolute “Columbia massacre” that occurred yesterday made me very nervous about my chances at Georgetown. Hopefully the fact that I applied to McDonough, where the app rate was down, and the fact that I’m a girl applying there will help. Cross your fingers for me please!</p>
