I will be raising money for a free health care clinic in my city.

OP, I would like to ask why you posted this? While i admit it has provoked some thought, and some responses, I am not clear if that’s what you had in mind. Perhaps you are saying the free health care clinic is already up and running, but is looking for donors.

FWIW, there is an organization in my community that probably shares similar concerns, but their focus has been on getting the unisinsured access to health care. This includes SOME fund-raising, but the amount they raise is just a drop in the bucket. The REAL difference they have made is in getting folks signed up and eligible for services that are already there. Like “Healthy Families”.

“Healthy Families owes much of its success to the help it gets from groups and people in the community. These Enrollment Entities (EEs) and Certified Application Assistants (CAAs) are key to reaching eligible families. The State of California is grateful for this assistance.”
