Ideas for mom's birthday?

It truely is the thought that counts. You know what she likes by now, and you probably know that she doesn’t indulge in many things because she spends the time/money on her kids instead. I was thrilled when my son remembered mine and spontaneously wished me a happy bday. I can buy anything I want, but to have my H indulge me with a small box of chocolates meant he cared about me, not what is good for me. Splurging on something frivolous is the best way to show your love- if it means only $5 spent on a few fancy chocolates (if she’s a chocoholic) that she wouldn’t buy for herself, or giving your time to do something with her she’ll cherish it because you showed you care. PS- many years ago my sister and I struggled with gift ideas for our mom, we knew what she would enjoy, but there was no way we were going to buy her cigarettes!

My daughter did the photo book on ofoto or kodak. I don’t think it cost more than 20. Spend what you could afford.

Timely thread. My birthday was yesterday and the best gift I received was a gift certificate for a pedicure. My feet are now happy and will soon be pampered:) The perfect gift for me.

Every mom is different.

Dogwood may love that pedicure, but I would hate it. On the other hand, if one of my kids offered to clean out my incredibly cluttered walk-in closet as a birthday treat, I would love it.

I bet you know your mom well enough to make a good choice.
