Ideas for scavenger hunt in NYC

My son, who lives in NYC and rarely does anything touristy - he’s been there 6 years now, and has been to exactly 1 Broadway play (Lion King). I don’t think he’s ever been to the Statue of Liberty, the Top of the Rock, or the Empire State Building. But he HAS ridden the Toys R Us ferris wheel – twice. And both times he was - randomly - in the pink Barbie car, which he thinks is hysterical.

He has, though, been to more concerts in NYC in the past six years than I’ve been to in my life.

The Atlas statue at Rockefeller Center

They should find a car inside a building. (There is a Mercedes dealership on Park Ave at around 65th street)

^^^Does the Barbie car count? :)

My D just did this last weekend. But she lives in NYC now.

Happened to be browsing some of my photos from our last trip to NYC, and came up with a few more ideas for your list:

someone in costume (I have Elmo and Spiderman)
a bicycle rickshaw
Cartier window display
A pashmina display, or a pretzle stand
“No horn blowing” sign (a favorite at our house)
A fire station (or a trade center memorial)

If you include Central Park (you could have an entire hunt just in Central Park):
joggers
musicians busking
topiary
horse and carriage
3 bears statue
carousel
(lake, castle, etc…)
