If being gay is completely natural, how come they cannot reproduce?

Ah, just like we know the bible’s and God’s law on war, slavery, stoning one’s neighbors for wearing the wrong type of clothing, etc. as exemplified by the following letter (author unknown):

–

Dear President Bush,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I
have learned a great deal from you and understand why you would propose
and support a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. As you
said, “in the eyes of God marriage is based between a man a woman.” I
try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone
tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind
them that Leviticus
18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination… End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements
of God’s Laws and how to follow them.

Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and
female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations.

A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not
Canadians.

Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?

I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in
Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair
price for her?

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her
period of menstrual uncleanness - Lev15: 19-24.

The problem is how do tell? I have tried asking, but most women take
offense.

When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a
pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9.

The problem is, my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to
them.
Should I smite them?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2
clearly states he should be put to death.

Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to
do it?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality.
I don’t agree. Can you settle this?

Are there ‘degrees’ of abomination?

Lev.21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a
defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses.

Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair
around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by
Lev.19:27. How should they die?

I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me
unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different
crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of
two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend).

He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot.

Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the
whole town together to stone them? Lev. 24:10-16.

Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we
do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy
considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.
Thank you again for reminding us that God’s word is eternal and
unchanging.

jeez, and you think the bible is right and every other “holy book” is wrong? why?

It’s their life, not yours, so who cares. Would you like it if I told you who you can and cannot marry?

^Haha, I would think you’re my mom. Oh, it’s depressing, really. Oh well

^lol! Wow what nationality/culture did you come from to have your mom do that?

Indian. And she didn’t do it yet, but if I don’t act vigorously she indeed will do it in the future (she did it to my older brother, I actually feel for him, but I don’t think he really cares though.)

The homosexuals are outside of the bottleneck of the gene pool and can’t reproduce. Therefore, they are not fitting into gene pool and will not be able to pass their genes on. Except for artificial stuff but how the hell do you create a baby from two sperms? O_o

So, yes, homosexuals are not normal from the side of evolution. Doesn’t mean you should care about it or treat gays any differently. Hell, we’re all putting ourselves away from the center of bottleneck which would look like this:

Being in perfect shape to be sexually active.

Impregnate two or three women a day.

Earn/steal crapload of money to provide food, education and other things for the children of impregnated women.

This is the most natural way.

There’s a very old saying my mom passed on to me the other day…

“Clean your own steps before you worry about somebody’s elses.”

Understand?

wow 10 frickin char

Has arguments supporting the biological basis of homosexuality.

<a href=“News, Politics, Sports, Mail & Latest Headlines - AOL.com”>News, Politics, Sports, Mail & Latest Headlines - AOL.com;

“If man were meant to fly he’d have wings.”

Er, what’s “natural” anyway? Is war natural since humans have been slaughtering each other for eons?

^Yes, war is a part of human nature. I personally believe homosexuality is also a part of human nature, but of course this is debatable. Why I think so is because I believe for all things there are the nonconformists, and in my opinion, being different from the masses in various aspects of life is a part of human nature. But again, this is quite debatable.

I disagree.

You might be too young to understand it, but it is a recorded fact that all males do not go through a homosexual period per se, but rather a ostrich-sexual period. The reason why we have ostrich-philes is because some of the boys never complete their ostrich-sexual periods.

This is all based on serious science, proven. The vast amount of ostrich unions as of late only support.

Yeah, the “recorded fact” that all boys go through a homosexual period “either consciously or not” is absolutely absurd. If one is a homosexual, that would mean that they have no sexual interest in the opposite sex, but only in the same sex. Perhaps you misread the “recorded fact,” and you meant that all boys go through a period of sexual confusion or even a bisexual period either consciously or subconsciously, but an all out homosexual period is just ridiculous!

What does it even mean that someone is subconsciously homosexual? That they are looking at men or women and feeling aroused, but that – though they have no way of knowing, and there is no way of checking – really they aren’t aroused at all?

^Haha, good one. Who started this bit about the subconcious crap in the first place?

Okay, sorry, I shouldn’t have said that, but I kind of thought he was saying gay marriage was utterly wrong, not just according to him. Sorry.

Some scientists have come up with an interesting theory furthering the idea that evolution supports homosexuality. Presupposing that homosexuals don’t disseminate their own genes, it suggests that homosexuals increase the reproductive success rate of their kin when they (the homosexuals) take care of their kin’s offspring. One problem with the theory is that most homosexual animals do reproduce. However, this is just one theory exploring the relationship between evolution and homosexuality. More could be found here:

Compare the arguments for and against evolutionary support for homosexuality and then take a side.

Your arguments for or against homosexuality should not be solely based on genetic influences, however. For example, alcoholism and aggression are genetically influenced, but this influence doesn’t make either “right” (whose meaning is arbitrary). You have to consider a variety of factors, namely that gay people have no control over their sexual preference but only their behavior. “Does homosexual behavior bring harm to society?” becomes the ultimate question as you weigh it alongside alcoholic and violent practices. Personally, I don’t think homosexual relations (independent of other things) hurt anyone at all, whereas the other two have serious social ramifications attached to them (though you could make a compelling case for either as well). For this reason, I believe that homosexuals should not only feel fine about their sexual attractions but also to embrace them by seeking relationships as they see fit.
