When employers want to hire workers with experience, they pay attention to their work experience, their personality, and what they actually know, and not where they graduated. The school and the applicant’s stat may matter more as a fresh college grad looking for a job. Even then, there are many respected schools that are good enough. And Tech and SC are certainly two of them for most of the good jobs out there.</p>
<p>BTW, your Dad did attend two prestigious schools. Tech is the Harvard of West Texas and SC is Yale South of the Border. And they now have a coach second to none, Bobby Knight and Steve Superior.</p>

<p>I’d have to concur w. norskvkng07 and Bopop. I took three years off from college, and spent that getting experience in my field. Now, even though I’m still working towards my degree (at a no-name state uni) I am competitive w. the graduates of much more prestigious colleges.</p>

<p>chgen, i used to live in south pasadena, but i then moved to plano TX, back to south pasadena, then to riverside, then to chino hills and i am now residing in mira loma, a city with the smell of poo and various cow gangs using their uters to squirt milk so i can have my cereal.
