If someone asked you what you got on your SAT, what would you say?

Lol. Jealous of your 2250. I got a 10 on my essay, so I beat you there, but you beat me in everything else hahaha. :(

I just say “I did okay…” haha people always ask me and I just say that.

I just tell them, “i did well but I’m planning on taking them again in the fall”

obscure but not impolite

“I did better than you”

I never got what the big deal about sharing scores are…honestly who cares. I say I got a 2270 and if they ask for the breakdown i give it…btw thats superscored, only my friends know the exact stuff. My friends and I all tell each other all of it and even though a lot of my friends are in the 1200s or 1300s since they are major athletes, no one really cares about it. I seriously doubt I make them feel inferior, I crave their athletic talent they crave my academic merit…it works well.

Recently, as I meet new kids even for the first time at dinner or whatever they always ask me (I usually do not initiate it) and I tell them. Since honestly who cares…its weird to be like I did fine or some **** since it means you probably didn’t or your weird. Also when someone is like I got _____ sophomore year or I was sick, it makes you sound bad like either your bragging or making an excuse. I would rather say here is my score and I can care less what you think.,.

I think some people are hesitant to tell if they have high scores because 1. it can come off as arrogant even if the other person was the one to ask and 2. people talk and it becomes painful when you are known as THAT girl (except you’re the NERDY one, hahah). These kids are probably the ones who have already experienced the phenomena of being resented for high scores on school tests and such…

Correct me if I’m wrong, of course, but that’s just my opinion. : )

I get confused what to say. haha.
cause i get on here and my meager 2100 is childs play; however, out in the real world that is a really good score.
But i seriously don’t care. I will tell anyone who asks. Don’t see the big deal and seriously…its not being arrogant if THEY!! as you

Ohhhh my goodness, this has happened to me so so many times. I rarely tell ANYBODY what I get on anything, all because of this.
But, if people ask me what I got on the SAT I’d tell them straight up, if they want to know. I got a 2300 and that was the only time I’ve taken it and no, I’m not taking it again.
Normally I wouldn’t brag about a great score [which 2300 is in the “real world,” like outside of CC, lol], but before I got that, our val had the highest SAT score in my HS class [like 1960?? with studying], so I somehow managed so say it kind of loud to one of my friends and she was like !!!
Anyway. If they think I’m bragging they can shut up because they’re the ones who asked me.

“something?”

“why???”

I have had this conversation many times:
Them: “How’d you do?”
Me: “Pretty good.”
Them: “What was your score?”
Me: “2370.”
Them: “Holy ***! When did you take it??”
Me: “Um, March… sophomore year.”
Them: *shakes head “I should have guessed. Did you get an 800 on math?”
Me: “No.”
Them: “Really? I’m surprised. Well, congrats. Have fun at Harvard.”
Me: “I’m actually not applying there. I want to go to Olin.”
Them: “Olin? What’s that…?”

And then we start talking about colleges.

lol ^^ sishu7

My 2340 used to be pretty darned impressive at my school until the two valedictorians got 2280 and 2300. Then now it’s just, “oh, you edged out the valedictorians, good job.”

…except I’d done it six months earlier.

If they are people who could never compete with me for college, I’d tell them I get a 2070 if they tell me their scores. Sometimes it hurts their feelings.

“around
1500’s
1600’s
1700’s
1800’s
1900’s
2000’s
or something like that”

i always tell them my score and then they turn their heads slightly and say, “oh, what’s it out of?”

the people I’m around are the smartest in my school (top 10 percent is always group together in every class) and they all have ridiculous 2300+ scores, so i just say, “trust me. i got a lot lower than you.” and then i’m always nagged so i eventually say 2000 or whatever i got and then they give me a sad look. i just can’t win.

haha thats funny

depends on the person asking, probably. If I know they did similarly well, I’d tell them. If not, I’d say, I took it twice and did better the second time. Then if they asked specifically what I got I’d tell them.

i just tell them my composite… i don’t really care haha
