If U had to take a year's worth of products (soap, etc), how much would you take?

Everyone at college normally comes with a pretty small supply of toiletries & has to restock. It’s social to shop together for supplies, even if it takes a bus ride, bike ride, or finding a driver & car to take you out to buy things at the grocery and/or drug store. It can force the student to be more social, just out of necessity.

There’s a social aspect to college that to me is one of the most important things about college. It’s GOOD for kids to have a small supply, just like everyone else & have to deal with resupplying, like everyone else. The small bit of money that MIGHT be saved by coming to school with a huge stash for toiletries is not nearly as important as the social & life lessons in purchasing new supplies for one’s personal needs. (Additionally, sometimes tastes & even allergies change during the course of a year & it’s better not to have TOO much of something that you’re stuck with.)
