<p>LayraSparks - obviously there are multiple ways of going about this, but here’s what I did:</p>
<p>USC (general) personal statement - I wrote about how I spent a day as an extra on set of a huge blockbuster and how it differed from my expectations.
SCA personal statement - I wrote about how I’m really into studying languages and the connection between written/spoken language and visual language, and my upbringing in the country where I was born and in the US. I think there was a second personal statement of some kind when I applied where I wrote about how I love horror movies. Or maybe I wrote about both in the same one - can’t quite recall, but I know I definitely wrote about horror movies too.</p>
<p>I think it’s open-ended on purpose, ie. there’s no right/wrong way to do it. I think mine was about 1-2 pages? Hard to say, it’s been a while.</p>
