<p>You can self study it and as far as the history is conerned you’ll do fine because you already have a solid background and trust me, it helps a lot. I did AP world last year and AP euro this year and they both helped me set my mind in particular historical contexts and hence explain and understand art better. If you plan to take it by your self, make sure you have a good textbook (I used Stokstad) and buy REA or Barron’s (REA is awesome for the test though in my opinion). If you can get a tutor once a week or every two weeks it would be great too 
Anyway I personally liked a lot what we learned and found it enjoyable :P</p>
