There are very valid reasons for employing distinctions [in admissions criteria] to African-Americans, i.e. the progeny of enslaved Africans on mainland North America. And that’s the point; the cultural history and consequences of the Colored, Negro, Black, African-American experience in AMERICA. Not better or worse than another group’s experience; just distinct.</p>
