IMPORTANT: UIUC TRANSFER spring 2013

If you apply as a transfer with less than 60 semester hours of credit in courses that are acceptable to UIUC as transfer credit, and/or you have not taken and passed the required courses for the first two years of the degree you wish to pursue at UIUC, then admissions will use your high school GPA and ACT scores to determine whether you would have been admitted as a beginning freshman. Since you have already been denied admission as a beginning freshman, I suggest you hold off and enter after you’ve successfully completed the requirements to transfer in as a Junior. You can apply now, of course, but the results will likely be the same if they just consider your HS record and ACT scores.
