IMSA Applicant Class of 2018

crookcounty HAHAHAHAHA :)) good luck lol;)

^^^ agreed, but I don’t mind skipping freshman year, where all the highschoolers think you’re a joke ha jk.

@priyaluvsbooks‌ If I could, I think I would rather go to IMSA after my freshaman year, but that’s not a choice for me.

lol yeah. Meh, I guess its okay if I didn’t make it in.

haha @priyaluvsbooks‌ do you know what imsa is looking for in the four essays in the application?

@priyaluvsbooks‌ LOL. Don’t worry, you’ll make it in alright.

@AviSaxena33‌ @priyaluvsbooks‌ @yka101‌ I don’t know if any of you know about this, but IMSA is hosting an event next Tuesday from 5:00-6:00 pm named “Submitting the Best Application”. This is all online and it is a live video presentation, but spots are limited. If you are subscribed to the email list, you should have gotten the link to enter in this presentation. Registration starts tomorrow at 5:30. They have had presentation in the past, although I was never able to watch any since the spots fill up VERY quickly. I will be on my computer tomorrow waiting to get a spot to ensure I don’t miss this one. I think everyone here except for priyaluvsbooks (she already talked with admissions so I thought she would already know what will be talked about in this) will be interested to attend due to all the questions here. Good Luck!

Thanks @kidfood‌ This is going to help me A LOT. I’ve been freaking out about the application lately because essays are definitely not my strongest point. So thanks. A lot.

Ugh I can’t make it I have plans :(

@yka101‌ so the admissions counselor said that I had very strong essays, in my application. What she especially liked was that in all four essays there was a common theme- me wanting to become a doctor. It doesn’t matter that all four essays are about different things. There should be one thing that really joins them all together. Additionally, for the innovative solution idea, don’t write something about water conservation. Everyone does that. Write something unique. The admissions people get bored reading about the same topic over and over and over again.

@kidfood‌ Thanks bro, it helps out a lot.

Thanks @priyaluvsbooks‌ That helped a lot. And I also find it all a bit humorous because I’ve always wanted to become a doctor- an oncologist.

So apparently 3 wrong in the math section gets you 120 points off lolol

oh gosh well I’m doomed

Got my ticket, you guys?

@AviSaxena33‌ Got mine, almost missed it though.

I GOT MINE TOOO!!! yay  My dad got it for me.

Hey guys, good luck on the December SAT to whoever is taking it this saturday! Hope you guys get exceptional scores! Cheers to IMSA.

Bear in mind the admissions office is small with only 3-4 people.

@1M5AT17AN‌ really? Well i’ve finished my sat’s so, now my application is gonna be polished and stuff.
