In defense of standardized testing

Maybe I’m missing something here, but as I understand it, the ETS provides accomodations for learning disable students not only because testing them without accomodation fails to provide accurate information about their potential or achievement, but because the law requires it. In California, when the AMA decided to deny accomodation on the MCAT wholesale, the courts intervened on behalf of the LD students. (Take a look at http://www.dralegal.org/cases/educat...ner_v_aamc.php</a> ) This being the case, how does it make sense educationally, or pass muster legally, for the GRE to deny accomodation?
