In the last 50 years ... whew times change

Yeah, my mistake on the PITA/PETA, but clearly it was what I really meant! :)

We had the colored chicks in PA!

My brother was on Ritalin in the '60s for ADHD- long before it was common. Wisconsin restaurants still have traditional Friday Fish Frys even though it’s been a long time since mandatory “meatless” Fridays" (I never did understand how shrimp and lobster et al could be allowed while humbler red meats couldn’t be eaten). So many other things I remember that have been listed. So many gender inequalities taken for granted back then.

^^^^^jym that’s what i was thinking.

I still have/use a bonnet hairdryer, our “mister softie” sold pot, and I once hitchhiked with a guy I met in court. Sat and waited in the car when he went to get friends. There must be a God.

^^We WERE colored chicks!

The smell of your test paper when the teacher just printed them on the mimeograph machine.

My Mom deciding to put pin curls in my hair the night before school pix or else she would run a piece of tape across my bangs to make a straight cut. yikes!

Kids smoking in the back of the school bus

Wishing really hard that one day we could afford the soft white bread that the hot lunch kids got to eat.

Only being allowed to walk down the right side of the hall during passing time
