Indiana Jones

Those old Rocky and Bullwinkle toons were great…funny punny humor and all. As for the latest install of Indy it was fun and kinda cool. Just have to suspend disbelief. The numbers were good unlike the much hyped Speed Racer:

I’m old enough to have gone to have seen all of the Indiana Jones films in the theatre, and my first thought after seeing crystal skull was, It took more than 15 years to come up with THAT script?! Imagine how pathetic the rejected scripts were? I found that after willingly suspending my disbelief, I was required to take my disbelief to another level.

Still I enjoyed watching CS but I won’t see it a second time and probably won’t by the DVD until it’s less that $7.

I disagreed about Karen Allen. I didn’t think she looked good at all. To me, it looked like she’d had work done and so it looked like she was wearing a mask. Also, who wore their hair like that in the 50’s…especially if she were already wearing it that way in the 40’s…and if she were presumably at least 50 years old?! Her hair in the wedding scene was more believable.

Karen Allen’s hairstyle was an anachronism, yes.

I’m assuming it was done deliberately. Maybe she doesn’t look good in genuine 1950s hairstyles.

DH and I saw the movie a couple of days ago. We enjoyed it, but thought it was a bit over the top. I didn’t like the alien stuff. For a man who will soon be 66 years old, Harrison Ford looks good!
