Haven’t looked through this but those hangers that can fold so you can fit more clothes in the closet can be very useful. (like you can get 6-8 hangers on one hanger and then drop it down so that it folds together… does that make sense?)

Space bags

A shower caddy (useful for those community showers)
A small sewing kit
A pop-up laundry basket

Hope this helped!

Small first-aid kit

or make your own.

For those of you who have under-18 kids going off to college, I had forgotten that you must be 18+ to purchase a lot of cold meds. I just bought some for my son to take with him and when they asked me for ID realized he could not have purchased them himself! I’m not sure if this is a federal or state law- we are in CA.

I think it depends on what the cold medicine is. If they have it behind the counter at the pharmacy, you usually have to show ID. I know for sudafed, you have to do this, but I wasn’t aware you had to be over 18. When I asked, they said it was so they could track how much you purchase with your license number (because you can use it to make certain drugs, I think). I never had to show ID when purchasing other over-the-counter medications, like DayQuil. I’m in CA too, btw.

Gift card from [AllPosters.com - The World’s Largest Poster and Print Store!](http://www.allposters.com/)

From the dollar store: plastic bowls for cereal or soup, plates, mug for tea, hot chocolate, etc., silverware, small knife, small cutting board, tissues, hand sanitizer, can opener, sponge, small dish detergent
surge protector
alarm clock
water bottle
desk lamp
water bottle

hot chocolate, tea bags, popcorn, zip lock baggies, foil wrap, dust pan

What a nice idea!

I had to show ID at Target today for DayQuil/NyQuil. They said they could not sell it to me w/o and that they will not sell to under 18. Maybe that is just Target’s policy.
