Information

That’s a great question, and unfortunately I’m not really qualified to answer it. I’m a EE, and so I don’t know much about the physics program. I know that we’ve got a lot of great physics resources, like an observatory on campus, some nice labs for various physics necessities, and a library that will certainly have whatever physics reference you need!

In terms of courseload, I don’t really know in which courses we differ from other schools. I doubt that the fact that the major is small will keep us from offering any given course, but, again, I’m not a physics major. The people on that admissions board could probably tell you better than I. From the physics course site, “Course topics included in the curriculum are many particle physics, physical optics, biophysics, biomedical optics, theoretical mechanics, electromagnetism, celestial mechanics, acoustics, micro sensors, semiconductor materials and devices, x-rays and crystalline materials, electro-optics, and laser physics,” which seems relatively comprehensive to me. Again…I’d check with someone in the physics department or on the admissions board to get details.
