Hi everyone, I am really interested in UConn and financially-wise I would hope to get merit scholarships as an instate student. Things like nutmeg or day of pride are a long shot so I am more interested in learning about the other merit scholarships. How much did you receive? Were your scholarships stackable? Did you get into honors?

My daughter applied and was accepted OOS in 2023. At one of the college fairs we attended that year UCONN’s admission counselor told us that most merit scholarships go to OOS students in order to make their COA more competitive. That proved to be true in my daughter’s case because she received $23k/year, which brought her cost to attend to about the same as in-state students.
My OOS daughters were awarded around the same, public universities give more merit to OOS students with good stats as bribes to compete with the OOS students’ in state flagships. The only universities my kids were not offered merit was their flagship.
Did you hear of any instate students getting merit scholarships?
