agathayu – sorry for all the questions, but the answers make a difference.

one final question – than I promise you will get some good suggestions.

What grade will you be going into next year in high school?

If I understand your post correctly, you will have 3 years left of high school? So you are a freshman this year? If that is correct, it will really limit you on what programs you can attend – many of the top programs I am thinking about are looking to admit kids who are juniors this year, and they sometimes admit kids who are sophomores who have really high stats.

Also – I know that you are interested in International Relations, and that is great (so is my son). But – if you really are a freshman and your choice of summer programs is limited by that, would you consider a summer program that would work on an area of weakness you have? Because many of the summer programs for younger kids (freshman and sophomore) aren’t as available, I would suggest that you consider other subjects. If you can find one on international relations, great – but if not – is there an academic area that needs some work? Writing/English is one that many kids need help with.

I will do some research and look for your answer.
