My kids didn’t attend Interlochen. But they did attend another summer music program for three years.
It definitely showed my musician that he really did eat, breathe and live music…and that was fine with him.
It showed my younger kid (also a great musician) that she loved her music, but wouldn’t consider majoring in it.
I think your son should look into the program…not to impress college adcoms. He should do it for personal music growth.
And there are a LOT of other strong summer music programs as well.
