I used Dostokeysk’s Alexey Karamazon but i refered to society as general and that it is incomplete to just define somebody by their occupation and thus shouldn’t do it!Anybpody think i’m off topic?thanks!

Maybe we are all just worrying too much about this off topic stuff. The readers probably just want something to do with professions and defining people.

I did not use any literature…if I had thought of Atticus Finch from to Kill a Mockingbird I would have used it. Do you think it will affect my score? I used Mr. King and Shakespeare.

I wrote about actions and not careers too. I freaked out when I read that jobs thing… And I am still worried, actually. I used Jean-Paul Sartre and Galileo Galilei but I don’t think that they will help me in any way.

Uhh

thanks gaoez,i will stop!hope you get a good score

i misunderstood the topic<

i thought they meant:
should society identify a person by his name only? or does the society care more about his social position or actions?

i think i will get a zero :D

I used MLK, Ghandi, and Hitler… I talked about how no one knew what jobs they had prior to the great/bad things they did. Which shows us that people cant be defined by what job they have but by their actions and who they are, instead. Good/Bad/Meh?

Triple-H dont worry ,you are on topic! They are just talking about different variations.Unless you wrote about the problems in your city don’t worry!

I wrote my essay the same way you did! I even thought about using Gandhi as an example. Personally, I think your essay was awesome!

I had to rush my essay a bit
And writing sucked! Do they have a different marking mechanism for international essays?

^Probably not. Remember, the SAT tests are standardized.

Thanks Gaoez. I think I did well apart from the fact that I misspelt Gandhi(ghandi, lol). Hopefully, it’ll be alright though. Good luck!

So did you guys all have the same essay prompt ? I ve heard that all the international students have the same prompt and all the American students have other prompt .

Anyone here from Australia? Are you gonna take the October SAT? I have something to share with you and to ask you.
