It’s free to apply to Universities through Parcoursup so knock yourself out… Keep in mind History at Sorbonne basically leads to very few fields (primary and middle school teaching) unless you’re admitted to one of the double degree or specialty programs… and even then that degree would not lead to Airline management.
You CAN try to apply to a prépa ECG in province - look for taux d’accès 70% &higher (75, 78…) and hope they forgive your 6 in math because they’re really struggling in finding students who took any math at all in the new bac where students can only keep 2 advanced subjects (v. 4 when the L/ES/S system was in place.) All prepa EGC students get into a business school, from which you can hope to join management.
Then you have IUTs -you could look for gay-friendly towns like Montpellier.
But anywhere in France you’ll be judged on your bac.
An alternative is to prepare the bac again - register with Cned and take 2 spés (SES and English Amc would make the most sense) plus maths complémentaires and kill it.
But attending a CEGEP would have more impact imho.
Can I create a successful path with a CEGEP then?
One thing that might be worth mentioning:
For top schools in the US, for undergraduate admissions they will look at all of your high school transcripts and any college or university that you have attended.
In contrast, for any university in Canada (even the most famous), they will mostly just care about your two most recent years. They might ask for transcripts for more than this. However, if you have two good years then you are in good shape.
I do know a few people who had some pretty bad years, for example in high school, and who nonetheless got accepted to very good universities in Canada based on one or two very good most recent years.
Yes, in Quebec this does make two years of CEGEP essentially a do-over for anyone who messed up in high school. However, it might also be worth applying to some universities in Quebec.
Just for information : I have applied to baie comeau last year and got rejected
What had you applied for? Has you applied by Feb1?
I’m sorry you got rejected from Baie Comeau because it’s typically relatively easy to get into. I’m trying to figure out why - missed deadline, transcript…
Cegeps reset the clock for you. Your grades there replace the bac grades. If you get a good cote-R you can choose to attend a top management program. If you choose a DEC Technique you can get a job or join a university to keep going.
Parcoursup choices…

If your teacher reviews are terrible then ECG is not possible.
I have applied two years ago.
For the Sciences de la Nature… that’s why it’s kind of scary to apply… I don’t know why I did get rejected. Maybe I should pursue here?? But I feel like the choices in France are very slim.
Why… I feel like all the doors are closing.
What about of pursuing an undergraduate in France. If I have nice scores is it possible to apply for good masters in good US universities ?
If Baie comeau rejected me it means the other one will also reject me?
To apply to the US, you’ll need a French Masters first and there’s now a bottleneck between the L3 and M1 level since the French government is trying to cut down on the number of places in Masters.
You wouldn’t qualify for Sciences de la nature, which is premed and/or for S students.
You must apply for Dec technique: gestion (gestion administration, gestion comptabilité, gestion&reseaux informatiques…) or Dec PreU (histoire&civilisation, sciences humaines: organisation&&gestion).
Click on the links, especially the one Cegep de L’Outaouais.
With the CEGEP do you graduate with a CEGEP degree or you transfer to a university after two years and graduate with a university degree ?
I think I will also seek psychological assistance because I feel terrible that I am starting university at 23 years old. I feel terribly behind.
Sciences de la nature has pre requisites, which you didn’t have. You needed Secondary IV&V math+2 from physics, chemistry, biology. And being in ES and with a 6 in math you couldn’t qualify.
If you apply to the programs I listed above it shouldn’t be a problem.
Also, APPLY TOMORROW.
Both. Dec Technique lasts 3 years; you graduate with a cegep degree and can either skip ahead at university or start working in a qualified job.
DEC préU lasts 2 years and doesn’t lead to a job, only to University degree.
With a DEC technique you start what would be junior year in the US and get a BAC after 2 years (Bachelor’s).
With a DEC preU you start what would be sophomore year in the US and get a BAC (Bachelor’s) after 3 years.
There are MANY students 21+ and even 40+ in CEGEPS. There’s no such thing as "behind"in CEGEPs.
Hello, just to get back to the subject. I wasn’t able to apply for the CEGEPS because I wasn’t able to make the payment on the website. Banking problems. What can I do now…
We can’t really solve banking problems.
Try again in case your card number goes through this time?
You’ll need a working card for everything.
Have you checked out the links provided above?
One of my card was not working so I had to wire but it took time.
And right now it says the deadlines are over…
There are severall rounds for CEGEPS. Hopefully your wore went through close enough to Feb1.
