<p>The answers in that thread could be wrong, no? I still think that it was the latter because a) the passage stated that the author shut himself away - so the word relief doesn’t make much sense b) even though the passage did imply that the world lacks order, the author put emphasis on how the father found answers to life’s chaos in the book and this is backed up by c) 2 3 sentences explaining why the father was so fascinated by the book (revered logic and reason; assumed it was his moral responsibility to give precedence to Louis’ theories and thought that if he didn’t do that…the very power of logic will defeat him)</p>
