Our K has a room-mate friend from South Asian country receiving financial aid…and I don’t know the particular academic stats for this student since our K (along with most of Stanford students feel it’s uncool and unnecessary) doesn’t ask those types of questions…and there are many others in each class.

here are just a few examples of international students who are receiving financial aid:

Chengdu computer game designer bags Stanford University scholarship - Global Times;

<a href=“A-Level results: Student with 7 A*s heads to Stanford after being REJECTED by Oxford University | Daily Mail Online”>A-Level results: Student with 7 A*s heads to Stanford after being REJECTED by Oxford University | Daily Mail Online… the subsequent article from the Belfast Telegraph mentions he is getting a scholarship

and I am not sure if this student is getting financial aid or not…
<a href=“Student speak–Valley dreams - Times of India”>http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/education/news/Student-speakValley-dreams/articleshow/39588498.cms

I’m sure there are many more great and interesting stories of other international students that I am not aware of that are attending Stanford and receiving aid…

Hope this helps.
