Internship and Job Opportunities at Wesleyan

Are there good opportunities for internships and jobs that going to Wesleyan could help with? Am I better going to a lower par school that may be more near to a higher amount of internships and job opportunities?

I can’t vouch through personal experience with the jobs and internship situation at Wesleyan, but, the infrastructure certainly seems to be in place for finding them:

As for going to a “lower par” school in order to find jobs in perhaps a bigger city, you have to take into account that with more jobs there will almost certainly be more competition for them. And at Wesleyan, you’re not just limited to Middletown; the entire state of Connecticut is within reach by car - if, it comes to that.

I’ve been curious about this also, specifically for film students. Being removed from major entertainment epicenters, I’d be interested to know where they intern during the Fall/Spring.

These are just some of the flashier internships won last semester, the results of competitions:

The Gordon Career Center, however, will work with anyone to help them with their CVs, conduct mock interviews and information sessions, often bringing alumni back to campus for their perspectives on various industries. It maintains and publishes a wealth of contact information from prospective employers as well.
