As I recall from last year, rejection letters (the thin letters) started coming in March and trickled on into April. As the class filled, the Admissions Office got a sense of how many candidates they needed to keep in the process and those lower on their list were notified by a letter. Others were put on an offical waiting list (an official rejection with the caveat to stand by in case more than expected offers of appointment were turned down at the deadline). But none on the waiting list were given an appointment to my knowledge. We wait together.
