Most people who are “pre-med” take physics their junior year as the MCATS are normally taken in the late spring of that year. Those who are contemplating it as a major (or biophysics concentrator) take it earlier. When you read the course description, you’ll see that there’s even a special section of intro physics for students who feel they may need more support. Why don’t you contact the Chair of physics and ask if he/she can provide some student emails for you to ask your questions more directly?

Random facts: HC is the only LAC to have a National Academy of Science member on its faculty (Gollub) and also a Rhodes Scholar (Partridge) as well. Alumni include both a Nobel Prize winner (1990’s) and a contestant on “Average Joe”.
