This is so interesting. Anybody else want to introduce themself?

I’m 22 years old from Zürich Switzerland. I am a stock trader for a living making 90K a year. I have no college education and find that education is a fraud.

The only reason I post here is because I saw a thread named " Does getting a degree make you smart" and decided to argue that point.

I then bookmarked this forum and come back every time I scroll through the 50+ forums I am a member of when I’m bored and make a post or two.

Here is a recent picture of myself

I am a 50+ year old mom of two adult married sons (one a teacher, the other a musician) and one daughter who is now a junior at Barnard College at Columbia University.
I have a master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology, but stopped practicing full-time when my kids were little to be a full-time mom.

I sort of got “called” to the activity that inspired my screen name five years ago and presently do that on a part-time basis in a mid-sized United Methodist Church. I love it! In fact, my oldest son sings in my adult choir, as does my h.

I found CC as my youngest was agonizing over whether or not she would get in to Barnard and found several people here to be invaluable in their encouragement, so I stuck around hoping I could encourage others. I am oficially hooked! I pretty much try to stay away from political debates as I tend toward libertarian/conservative ideals and do not wish to get chewed up and spat out! I also check out the Musical Theater forums as dd is a dancer and has worked professionally in MT, though that is not her major. I have also started lurking in the grad school forums as well and have encouraged her to get her own screen name and do the same! We will see…
