Is a physics bachelor degree enough?

Thank you all for the great advice. Just to specify, I intend on entering a field of engineering like civil or aerospace, that deals with a lot of the mechanics of physics as opposed to EE or CS.
Another one of my concerns is college admissions. Will it be harder to gain acceptance to a college’s school of engineering? How difficult would it be to transfer from a college of arts and sciences to the school’s college of engineering after entry?
