Patti Davis specifically disavowed her father’s politics and did not shy away from criticizing his ideological views. But she has shown herself to be a good daughter. This is not about politics. It is pretty low to make a disease such as Alzheimers a laughing matter or to smear someone’s decision-making ability with portrayals that our fact-challenged populace will take as gospel.
edited as I just saw it is nixed.
I hate it when comedians become figures of political significance. I mean sitcom cartoons like family guy and South Park. Both shows by atheist liberals that celebrate and show obscenity. In family guy, the dog represents Seth Macfarlanes soundboard for his liberal views and opinion on political as well as social issues.
The show regularly mocks, ridicules and trivializes Christians and conservatives alike. It also shows obscenities such as pedophilia(the old guy Herbert regularly hits on Chris), bestiality(the dog regularly lusts on Meg), Incest (In an episode of quagmire supposedly has sex with his transgendered father), Rape(although atleast they depict this as a serious issue).
There is so much obscenity in South Park I wouldn’t know how to start. Mostly similar to family guy and the creators are pretty much anti-religious, anti-conservative atheist liberals.
Both shows ideas of fairness is that they mock everyone equally. However, is this truly a defense of the obscenity and vulgarity that both sitcoms regularly show their viewers who are mostly teenagers and kids? Especially when family guy devotes a whole episode on blasphemy of Jesus during a Christmas episode which also resulted in the most views and ratings?
The Simpsons in comparison is more tolerable, balanced and a lot less obcene. I’d recommend it over anything family guy or South Park has to offer. I used to like Futurama as well a lot less political and less negative mention of religion aswell.
^^^ I think you’ll find that most people, if they are so offended by a show, just choose not to watch it. You should go back and read the Duggars thread and see how many of us on CC decided to never watch it again after learning about the horrible stuff those religious, conservative Christians did to people within their own family.
And by the way, I have no problem in the world with anti-religious, anti-conservative atheist liberals, so I don’t get your point. I consider myself pretty liberal and anti-religious (although I do consider myself more spiritual, which I respect much more than religious), and I have no desire to watch any of those shows. Huge waste of my time when there are so many better options now with streaming.
For someone who professes to hate Family Guy, you’ve obviously watched it A LOT.
After reading your posts on another thread, you clearly see people as black/white. Liberal/conservative = bad/good. Most people are not so easily categorized and can have liberal sentiments on one subject at the same time they are conservative with regard to another.
I also find a judgmental, spiteful, and self righteous persona to be at odds with most religions I know of.
