I was always a little freaked out by the thought of an IUD, however I orobably do many things right now to my body that would concern other women. Like…all the tattoos and piercing, that kind of thing.
I didn’t read this thread, just thought I open this thread to see what’s discussing and wondering how did the thread went from anti-intellectual to IUD?
@DrGoogle Maybe IUD stands for Intellectual Undoing Device???
Availability of birth control, who’s for it and who’s against it, is the current intellectual bar to clear.
You’ve an excellent chance of being on the right side of intellectual progress, if you just close your eyes and point. Somewhere over there, or there.
Busdriver11, are you tattooed up for real?
A former friend, a woman, tattooed her sons names on her body. That’s a little too Freudian for me.
We are talking about intellectualism. Our society is going to be very different in 20 years. I will be almost 80 then. Wow!
For example, Driverless cars are coming. This is going to affect the way people live. Jobs. Industries. The insurance industry. Intellectual or non intellectual… Big changes are coming.
Based on some posts, IUD stands for Intellectuals Under Duress.
Oh my, busdriver!
I’m not sure that opposition to readily accessible birth control is on the right side of anything, except some voters.
Yeah, sure, dstark and LasMa, I have a tattoo on my butt that says Mitt Romney. So if he doesn’t run for president and win next term, in 30 years I’m gonna be like one of those people who still have a Mondale for President sticker on their car…
What I actually meant by saying I do things to my body that might concern other women, is that I take massive amounts of supplements, blood tests, and bioidentical hormones. Some women think I’m kind of nutty, but I’m just trying to make it past the average age of death of my co-workers (64), and avoid the dementia/Alzheimers/stroke/Parkinson’s that have hit my family. Tattoos…you guys are so easily suckered!
“I didn’t read this thread, just thought I open this thread to see what’s discussing and wondering how did the thread went from anti-intellectual to IUD?”
You know how these threads go, DrGoogle, you never know where they will lead. And actually the IUD discussion does make sense, if you follow it along.
“Availability of birth control, who’s for it and who’s against it, is the current intellectual bar to clear.”
I don’t know about that. I think it’s more of a social liberal/conservative thing. But of course not everyone falls into distinct categories for every opinion.
I didn’t think you had a tattoo. Doesn’t sound like you. But you brought it up. Just making sure. You would be surprised who has tattoos. You can’t always see them.
I have a friend who is 68 who is doing similar stuff. Supplements. Blood test. Hormones. Maybe a drug or two. What he should be doing is losing weight.
I have some symmetrical scars on my leg that look kind of like a tattoo. I managed to smash my leg into my sharp bike pedal. But I tell people it’s a shark bite if they ask. That’s as close to a tattoo as I’m getting. You’re right, you never know, though…
If your friend was taking the right supplements, hormones, and doing what his blood tests were telling him to, he would be losing weight. It’s hard, though. Chocolate chip cookies have too many carbs.
Shark bite scar sounds pretty badass.
Yeah, but of course, who can actually say that without laughing.
Well, maybe several people from North and South Carolina last week
@busdriver11, my friend eats too much and doesn’t exercise enough. He should lose maybe 25 pounds.
He is hoping the hormones and supplements, etc will make up for the fact he is not taking care of himself enough.
I have my doubts.
Why do women tattoo the area right above their tush? That is a very sexy area. You don’t need a tattoo there.
Ah the ‘tramp stamp’ :>
Microagression against tattoo?
So that’s what it’s called, dietz? I suspect that women tattoo that area because it’s easily covered. Or not, if they want to show it off. Sometimes I think, now why would you want to call attention to the part of your body that collects body fat?
Bioidentical and hormones will only do so much. They make it easier to lose the weight, but you still have to work. However, I dropped 8 pounds, down to 124, within two months of starting, with no lifestyle changes. I would hate to go without.
More like a nano aggression
124 pounds? That doesn’t sound like a lot of weight. Are you done losing weight?
