haha yes. Contrary to popular belief I am NOT a guy. I am 100% female and I 100% like males. :p

It would seem that the majority of the people posting in this thread aren’t not interested (terrible english, I know) in the convention of dating itself, but that their prospects don’t make dating worth their while, which is definitely the case in my school. Basically, I’ve dated everyone in my group of friends (and acquaintances) who might be available/interested in me, and have found that the trouble with crossing people off my list after a few weeks tends to be that sooner or later, you run out of people to date. Number one reason I can’t wait for college.

That’s the way I’m thinking now. There’s no one I’m even remotely interested in; having a boyfriend would be a ton of work (especially since I’ll either have to convince the rents or sneak it by them) and there’s simply no guy I know who I like enough to be worth the energy. It may be sad, but I haven’t had a real crush since freshman year (I’ll be a senior in a couple of weeks). Sure, I’ve considered some of the guys I’ve met as potential bf material, but I’ve never thought about it for more than a few minutes.

Maybe I’m just too picky…

When I was younger, I tended to ignore the fact that guys existed. But that all changed in college
I just broke up with my BF about a week ago (LD = no go…) and I’m kinda going after one of my friends… He’s 26, lol :)

I agree with Celebrian as well - part of the reason I’m not interested is because the selection that I have of high school guys isn’t quite satisfying. I’m sadly attracted to men either in college or out of…not that the age equals maturity, but that’s sometimes the case from my experience.

I’m not saying all older guys are mature, but there’s a larger selection of mature guys.

Yeah I also have a tendency to like waay older guys, who are out of my league by like 10-15 years. The guys at my school also seem to have the immaturity problem.

Who cares about dating right now???

My car just EXPLODED!!! I have other things on my mind!!!

your car exploded? I’m sorry if you’re serious how did it explode?

The engine burst on fire and then it started spewing smoke everywhere!!!:(

I’m going to go cry myself to sleep now. I loved that car.

Yay! People who think like me!

The pressure to date slacked off after middle school, actually. That’s creepy. All those eighth graders are going around dressed like Jessica Simpson, or Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, whichever appears nicer…Now I’m in my little AP bubble and everyone’s weird like me. The guys at my school aren’t that bad, I think, but I don’t talk to them so I wouldn’t know. My two best friends are boys (I’m a girl, like celebrian, contrary to popular belief), and the only time we approach that subject matter is to make impartial observations on the behavior of peer specimens. We’re Science Olympiad geeks, all the way!

Besides, I’m going off to college in a year, and it wouldn’t do to have tears and all that.

are you okay? was anyone in it? Is your car okay :(

Were you in it?!

That’s one of my biggest fears. There’s this light that goes on in my car that says “service engine soon” and it’s always on and I just ignore it now. =X But yeah, I’ve had nightmares about my car exploding.

Aww, wraider, now you can write a song about your “Fireball Firebird” and make a fortune. Then you could get into any Ivy you’d like!

Wow, she is cruel. I hope you got her back.

Speaking of fears in relation to cars (yeah…completely off topic)…I’ve had a strange fear of carbon monoxide poisoning ever since I read Slaughterhouse 5…I back out of the driveway the very second I turn on the car.

I thought that i was the only one. lol. I’m just not interested. I’m not gay, i mean i love guys, but i don’t find any fun in dating them now

I have moral values against it (my own self-imposed moral values as I’m agnostic due to my fear of population explosion go figure…:P) but on the other hand, I have been attracted to people of the opposite gender. Fortunately no one in my old school was attractive enough but remaining a virgin through college (one of my goals) and through life may prove to be a challenge considering how impulsive I am.

Hey, about the whole being into older guys thing, I know what you mean. (Whoever was talking about it earlier. I’m almost 18 and I’m into a 31 year old guy…who was previously married to my older sister. Crazy aint it?

I don’t seem to have a lot to talk about with guys…

I mean some girsl are just totally like “blah blah blah” and they’ll just start talking but iono…I don’t feel very comfortable talking to guys (about normal stuff…not like school or stuff like that)

anyone else like that?

or am I just weird?

lol
