<p>The current team is comprised of 23 girls, 8 of which were rookies and 5 are freshman. There are 7 current seniors. Given there might be one or two that stay for grad school (and not leav) eor 1 or two that drop that are not seniors, they will probably be replacing another 8ish girls. The rookies won’t all be freshman, so my guess is that they take another 5-6 freshman. The team is historically 20-25 girls, depending on the distribution of scores at the end of the tryout weekend. Even current dancers have to re-audition. I do not know how many turn out to audition. I DO know there are alot of girls who go through the weekend who are not auditioning. They let you pay and go through the process as a nonauditioning participant. There are HS girls who go through the process as a dry run, and others who go through it to learn the choreography to take back to their HS team. I think there may also be some freshman who go through the weekend who are NOT ready to apply for this year, who want to see if they can handle their freshman year first, but want the experience of a dry run. So when you get there and see the numbers, they are not all actually competing against you for a slot. </p>
